Privacy Policy — Prompt Mirror (Chrome extension)

Summary
Prompt Mirror works entirely inside your browser. It does not collect, store, transmit or sell your prompts or any other personal data. It makes no network requests.
What the extension does (single purpose)
It shows a live 0-100 score of the prompt you are typing on ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, with tips to write better prompts, and offers short interactive lessons.
Data the extension handles
- Text you type in the prompt box on chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com, claude.ai and gemini.google.com: read in your browser only to compute the score. It is never saved, logged or sent anywhere.
- Local preferences and progress (on/off switch, lesson progress, daily streak): stored in your browser with
chrome.storage.local. They never leave your device and are removed when you uninstall the extension. - Score card image: if you choose to download or share your score card, it is generated in your browser. Nothing is uploaded by the extension.
What we do NOT do
- No account, no sign-in.
- No analytics, tracking, advertising or fingerprinting.
- No transmission of data to our servers or to any third party.
- No access to any website other than the four listed above.
- No sale or sharing of data.
This website (academy.get-scala.com/prompt-mirror)
The web tester and these pages count anonymous visits and button clicks (visit, start of a test, score calculated in a low/mid/high band, card made, challenge copied, click on the store button) with a cookie-free analytics tool hosted by us. We never receive the text you type, your exact score or your IP address in clear. Do Not Track is respected. The sections above describe the browser extension, which is unchanged: it collects nothing and makes no network requests.
Permissions (matches the Developer Dashboard)
- storage: remember the on/off switch, lesson progress and streak, locally.
- Content script on chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com, claude.ai, gemini.google.com: read what you type in the prompt box to compute the score. No other sites, no host permissions.
Children
The extension is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
Changes
If this ever changes (for example an optional AI feature), we will update this page and the date above, and ask for your explicit consent before any text leaves your browser.
